At the gate, that partner airline's reps (or Istanbul airport employees -- not sure) yelled at me that I had too much to carry on board and forced me to hastily check a bag with personal items I did not plan on checking. Needless to say, that also delayed my reaching the final destination even further because I had to wait for the luggage and it was already 1:00 in the morning in an unfamiliar and rough foreign city."

After the attempted coup, they really upped security, forcing all international flights to go through a second security screening after transferring from another airport. It's understandable but the line moved at a molasses-like speed when I had only 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. The security personnel were rude, as well. Also, when I went to make my connecting gate in Cairo, there was no one at the gate after the required boarding time (Because security had held us up), forcing some of us to board the plane without having anyone to show us onto the plane (Very scary). The flight boarding was chaotic, and no announcements were made about what we were supposed to do. Besides the lack of boarding gates, the only other serious complaint I had against Turkish Airlines (Because it really was great overall) was that the pilots and flight attendants were very hard to understand. I have taught ESL for the past 5 years, and I still had a hard time as an American understanding their English. Also, they frequently didn't understand or misunderstood questions that I would ask them. I've never had a hard time understanding flight attendants on an international flight, but I only understood about 20% of what anyone said over the loud speaker in the plane. And it's nice to be able to understand when the pilot says, "We are experiencing some turbulence and would like everyone to buckle their seatbelts until it passes." Two small things remain: 1. The bathroom trash cans were full on every flight (A small thing but makes everything feel "trashy"). 2. The flight attendants seemed unhappy, and they definitely seemed unhappy to be serving us. I can only assume they are that way because they aren't treated particularly well by their bosses."

When we were directed to security at Gate Z, there was a huge mob of people, not really in lines. We didn’t know what we were waiting for or where to stand, but we and others around us were very worried about missing our next flight. There was no Lufthansa representative to help. Finally someone directed some of us to a long roundabout back way to Gate Z security. We did get to our gate in time for boarding, only because it had been delayed. Then we sat in the plane for over half an hour. Altogether, it took off more than an hour late, so we missed our flight from Chicago to Minneapolis."

It says you can do it cheaper on Lufthansa.com but I could not find where you can actually do that. All in all spend 30 minutes with no result. Had to pay at check in $44 instead of $27. And it was just one of many other problems and inconveniences with their website."

These new seats are much narrower in width (not ideal, but fair enough, the airline wants to maximise capacity) and much harder to sit on for a long haul flight (much less ideal, after a couple hours, the seats were just plain uncomfortable, by the end of the flight really unbearable). The food (pasta) was not particularly good and not to the usual standard I expected for Lufthansa. Staff were efficient, but not particularly friendly. To be honest, I've had better flights in terms of comfort on the likes of Ryanair and Thomas Cook."

The audio jack was also not working great; sometimes I did not have audio in my right earbud and I had to turn and fidget the plug. The earbuds provided by the airline did not even work when plugged into the screen, I had to use my own earbuds."

There was no way we wanted to volunteer our seats, especially since we had a transfer flight to catch. We clearly stated we did NOT want to volunteer our seats at the ticket counter. No staff notified us until we were about to get on the plane to board. The flight supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, offering us no alternative solutions. I was really disappointed with such a grievous mistake by the airline, and I would not recommend flying Austrian Airlines unless it was absolutely the only airline available. They need to fix their processes for authorizing when they volunteer a passenger's seat. This caused our group a lot of stress and almost became a logistical nightmare."

Мінуси: "Dusseldorf to Warsaw: Boarding terrible including assistance and messaging. - Boarding chaos - Late flight out of Dusseldorf (about an hour) - Just before landing, pilot announced all connections would be made - (and even mentioned chicago) - Connecting flight was gone when I arrived at gate, and I was quick in getting to gate from prior flight - next flight caused 5 hour layover in Warsaw Warsaw to Chicago Boarding terrible including assistance and messaging. - Boarding chaos - Late flight our ot Warsaw (about an hour) - no messaging at gate about reason for delay - kept increasing departure by 5 minute increments; started at 16:40 ended 17:05 (I beleive) - once boarding was complete, pilot said delay was due to wait for connections (boarding was an hour and 15 minutes late). Very frustrated"

Плюси: "The crew on this flight was amazing. Very attentive, courteous and professional!! The crew was in no way responsible for how terrible this airplane was, and they did a wonderful job of making sure everything was taken care of."
Мінуси: "The plane was terribly old and decrepit. None of the television screens worked, the airplane was dingy, brown, worn out looking and just overall gross. This flight was operated by a company called Privilege Style, and while the crew was fantastic everything else was terrible. The food was pathetic and nasty; they served breaded chicken that was so soggy it resembled a used dish cloth. It came with soggy oily vegetables and a cake that had condensation all over it. The only redeeming thing on this flight was the free Polish beer (it was warm). The flight we took going to Poland was on one of their new Dreamliner planes and it was amazing! We were so disappointed with this return flight as it was a stark contrast to the wonderful experience we had coming to Poland. I hope in the future they can discontinue use of these older planes, as it makes flying much more aggravating."

Food was good but they did not serve everything that was listed on the menu. My wife ordered the pancakes with berries for breakfast and they said they did not have any. After they told us they did not have this item, another passenger from Russia sitting in 3A started complaining and they miraculously found the pancakes for this passenger. this leaves a bad impression about the service and not what you expect when you buy a business class ticket."

We boarded on time but then we waited for 30 minutes over the departure time, at the gate, inside the plane with no explanation. When finally the captain says 'boarding completed' aaand we wait another 30 minutes without explanation. Finally after one hour from our initial departure time we departed. In total 2 hours waiting in the plane, no water because it took the crew another hour to prepare to serve drinks! Flight was supposed to leave at 16:50, we got water around 19:00. Shame! Food is horrible, service is bad! We landed 2 hours later then we were supposed to. It seems that being late and not give explanations it's something that it's characteristic for polish airlines!"

I don't expect champagne service in Economy but the flight attendants could have been more proactive in walking down the aisles occasionally rather than just when handing out meals. If you needed a drink the best option was to head to the back of the plane and pour it yourself. In fact, most of the passengers did precisely this!"

LOT staff at destination domestic airport (early morning), displayed outstanding professionality assistance. Boarding was so swiftly executed - I was pleasantly, surprised. What a great experience flying LOT Polish Airlines, domestically. Keep it up, Exceptional!"

Plane was Embrair XR that had a whopping 10 rows of economy despite being a 7-8 hour flight over the Atlantic! No wifi, no power and the "entertainment" was an iPad with 10 obscure movies loaded on it. Seating was so limited, and online checkin so poor was stuck with a middle seat. Only positive on this flight was the friendly crew members. False advertising all around otherwise."

Very strong Polish accents made it very hard to understand what they said on the speaker. Not too many choices of English movies."
