It took an hour of being ignored by various TA staff to eventually get my boarding pass to the next available flight to London. I nearly missed that one as well because of it. The staff in Turkey was rude and unhelpful and most didn’t understand English properly. There were a number of others having the same issues, it was an awful experience."

Мінуси: "After missing our connecting flight in Istanbul on our Turkish Airlines flight on January 9th from LAX-Addis Ababa (due to a nearly 45 minute delayed flight), my sister and I had to spend 24 hours in Istanbul and still pay for a night in our 4 star hotel in Addis, despite the fact that we weren't there. So, in preparation for our flight back to LAX, I spent hours on the phone with a Turkish Airlines representative to ensure that we would not miss our connecting flight on the way back to LAX on January 29 (Jomo Kenyatta-IST-LAX). The TA representative spoke very little English and became incredibly frustrated with me when I expressed my concern about how closely scheduled our connecting flights in Istanbul were. The representative said she could "help us" by seating us at the back of the plane from Jomo Kenyatta-IST, as she was "mostly sure" that our plane would deboard from the back of the plane once we arrived in Istanbul and, in theory, we wouldn't have to wait behind all the other customers to exit. This was totally incorrect: our plane only deboarded from the front exit door and the seats she selected at the back would surely have caused us to miss our next flight were it not for the fact that the plane wasn't full and we arrived only a few minutes late. Still, by the time we got off the plane in IST, our connecting flight was already 15 minutes into boarding. We showed the TA attendants our boarding passes at the long security line, and at first they both said, "don't worry, it will be fine". I had to convince them to let us skip the line as we would clearly have missed our flight. Once we finally made it through security we ran through the ENTIRE Istanbul airport to get to our gate, as we could hear them calling the final boarding call for our flight to LAX. We literally ran as fast as we could for almost 20 minutes straight, with all of our bags, which ended up being over a mile, I would guess. When we got to our gate, we had to go through yet another security line - WHY??? Apparently there was a celebrity in front of us, and while we were sweating and nervous about missing our flight, the security agents were taking selfies with the celebrity. It was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. The take away for me is that Turkish Airlines should NOT be allowed to sell flights to people that give them less than an hour to make international connecting, especially in an airport as large and disorganized as Istanbul, and especially when Turkish Airlines flights are often late or delayed. This was one of the most stressful flying experiences of my life."

The cafeteria and places to eat around in the airport were horrendously expensive and they didn't have services like wifi(had to buy it for $8 an hour and it sucked) and drinking water. As per Turkish airlines, the staff in the airport were poorly equipped to deal with emergency situations such as snow. I was flying during the snowstorm and wasn't expecting my journey to be easy. But they should have increased their resources to help people out in such cases.Their help desk was crowded with almost 500+ of people all the time and they only had 2 people to answer their queries. Also, the staff couldn't understand English properly and seemed irritated when I was trying to explain things in English. I had to stand an hour on a line to get my temporary visa issued only to be referred to another line (yes! i waited for an hour to get to the desk and was told to go and sit in another effing line). It was also because most of the signs/boards in the area were written in Turkish only and I didn't know what they were saying. I had to pay for my own hotel during my transit because the line for the hotels was almost two miles long. And when I arrived at my destination, both my luggage went missing. The crew on board were nice and helping people. I do not blame my bad travel experience entirely on Turkish airlines however, the airport and airlines both are not prepared to deal with situations that are unexpected. I also realize the snow storm was the main factor behind everything however any airlines that boasts itself to be a top class international airlines should have means and resources to manage(at least try) their passengers and airport during any situation. No matter what I am never flying with Turkish airlines again."

Additionally, although we requested kosher meals well in advance, the delay/cancellation of our flights and rebooking effectively cancelled our kosher meals and there was nothing for us to eat. This was very frustrating."

We came there - nothing. Then next text - come get it in two days. When it finally arrived - it was torn. I don't know who to blame in the first wrong text, I don't know why and how the suitcase was lost, I don't know who torn it, but in general it was all very wrong and inefficient."

I travel a lot so I just know that this person was lying and sure enough when everyone boarded, they were empty seats. I should have gotten her name because she was just plane lazy and unprofessional, it showed that she did not like her job. I paid an expensive Turkish plane ticket, so I deserve that courtesy and I would fully understand anyway if there were no seats at all but please don't even take your costumers like a fool."

I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

But when I went to the counter, my seat was changed without my consent (to a worse seat), and I was told that the online process wasn't complete!! Then the website should say accordingly. It's really annoying when this happens. I think the ground crew in New Delhi duped me. At one point, my call button for my meal was ignored for ~30 minutes on the plane. And then I was told there was no more chicken, and handed a veggie wrap. One wonders whether I could have gotten chicken 30 minutes ago!"

I always fly first row to be able to work with my laptop, however due to a last minute plane change the new A321 did not have a 1D or 1F, only 1A and 1C. I had booked 1D, but was moved back to 5D with absolutely no option to change back to the first row to finish my work. I had to sit sideways to be able to work, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I don't understand why they couldn't have moved me back to the first row and move the non-SEN/HON sleeping members back to 5D and 5F, or at least asked them if they would mind. The plane was massively late, and I missed my followup meetings at the airport."

A last minute additional attendant that was brought on, helped to make the line move a bit faster, but this under-staffed checkpoint added unnecessary stress to our long travel day."

It wasn't until I was off of the train that I went to grab my passport and credit card and realized my tiny little purse was gone. I had to rush to the US Embassy, get a new passport, and then rush back to the airport. I didn't arrive until 40 minutes after my flight had left and I was a nervous wreck. Unfortunately Lufthansa staff could not care less. The guy at the ticket counter even looked at my new urgent passport that had the issue date listed as today, so clearly this all had just happened as it was only 10:50am still. What did Lufthansa do? Well they told me if I wanted to fly out the same day, I would have to pay 2700 Euro additional! My jaw dropped and then he said I could fly out tomorrow for an additional 675 Euro instead. I was still in shock as I felt like I had just been taken advantage of with my stolen passport and credit card and now it's happening again. I asked if there was any way he could find something cheaper and he said that I paid so cheap for this flight that I would need to speak with the agency I booked with to help me out more and then he dismissed me. Let me have you know that I booked this fare during an amazing sale that Lufthansa was having and I booked it directly through their website and now it was being held against me. There was no offer to pay something like a $200 change your flight fee. Instead he let that plane leave with an empty seat because I didn't have the 2700 Euro to pay him. Here I was, alone, nervous, in a foreign country, and I had to get my thoughts together the best I could and I immediately started looking up my own flights. I ended up having to book a flight with a different company and just forfeiting any kind of credit that Lufthansa would have applied to their overly exorbitant priced flights. Good job Lufthansa for being the worst customer care service I have ever experienced... and I have flown over 20 airlines and over 100 flights."

They said that I had enough time and that's my fault - I even should be thankful that I don't pay for another flight that I am going to be flying in 7 hours. Bottom line: I got to Kiev at 9:20 PM and moreover, the flight landed 30 mins late. It never happened to me, despite I've been more than on 25 flights. I am shocked by employee's behavior and the situation in general. Would never recommend Lufthansa airline to anyone."

The woman behind me gave me the local phone number for Austrian airlines and I was able to get on a flight to US leaving in 30 minutes. I managed to make it, and would not have had I waited another hour in line. Why no surge of staff to help? All 3 help numbers on my Lufthansa e-mail receipt could not help. Horrible experience."

The City Airport Transport (CAT) train from the Vienna airport to city center was fantastic. We were able to check our luggage and get boarding passes where we boarded the CAT at the metro station and did not have to wait in line at the airport...wonderful system!"

A significant number of us had SSSS on our boarding passes which required us to go through a second, more thorough, TSA security procedure. We had to remove shoes, take electronics including phones from cases, have purse contents gone through by personnel, be screened for residue, etc. Due to this process and the fact that we were not advised to stand in the line, a number of passengers went through the second security check at the last minute which caused our takeoff to be delayed. The pilot made up the time during the flight. I ordered low sodium meal which ended up to be the same food at both meals which was a disappointment - pasta with tomato, eggplant sauce."

I was running with a cane, and getting very upset when an airport employee with a cart asked if he could help. He took me to the gate I thought was for my flight, but it was for a DIFFERENT flight to Zurich. He calmed me down and drove me to the correct gate, talking the agent there to make sure it was the right one before he left me there. I wish I had time to get his name because he was very kind and helpful and I don't know what I would have done without him - wouldn't have made the flight, that's for sure. (He was in vicinity of gates F 3 - 13 on Sunday June 11 approximately 5:15 - 5:30pm Vienna time, if anyone wants to know)"
Мінуси: "Our flight was delayed almost one hour. Even though I had only one hour between flights, I was told (in Split) that all flights would be delayed, so no worries. On the plane, they gave information for some flights; for the rest of us they just said, go to your gate (for connecting flight) as quickly as possible. Flight landed at 5:05pm. When I walked out of plane (I was using a cane; recovering from broken ankle so have some trouble walking distances), there was no board with flight info, just immigration. Finally I saw a flight board, and had 10-15 minutes walk still. Also, signage wasn't great. I called after an Austrian Airline flight attendant who was also leaving, but she never heard me. Finally I found the right direction, still had security to go through. I was running with the cane (not good for my ankle). Essentially there was no help. Until a man driiving one of those carts helped me - I write about him above in what I liked about the flight."

When we got back however at 2:30am, they did not provide us with a hotel and just gave us blankets and pillows to sleep in the airport. They also offered us only a piece of bread with ham and cheese and a coffee for the next 12 hours until the new flight left. Not a pleasant experience."

I was passed off to numerous other airlines and sent through the airport to the incorrect terminals in heathrow causing another missed flight. Air canada did not accept the responsibility to maintain my reservation and get me to my destination efficiently. Even when I spoke with a phone representative the person was rude and never sent confirmation of my flights so I had no reference point for flight numbers or air lines. All of his added up to more than 13 hours of delays on what was already a 24 hour trip. Worst travel experience of my life."

Flied to Toronto, was shuffled through different lines without getting anything. At 10:40PM, after arrived 1 hour 40+ minutes, sent to a line with more than 100 people in front of me..... :-( It's a horrible experience!!!!!!!!!"

Мінуси: "We upgraded to the bulk-head seats for the long 12-hour flight. The seat I had (second from the aisle) had the bolted framework (where the computer screen tucked into) sticking out. Since I'm short, this really interfered with my left leg room. On a normal flight, this probably wouldn't have even mattered, but since it was a 12-hour+ flight, and I paid an extra $120 to upgrade to that seat, it was a little disappointing. But, again, a small complaint to the great service we received."
