We ended up in an airport hotel where we caught four hours' sleep before returning to the airport. Newark airport is the worst I've ever experienced. Getting our passports stamped took more than an hour. There were five officials there to clear five or six hundred U.S. passport holders. Then, the TSA people were rude, inefficient, and achingly slow. Overall, it was a horrible experience."

Lufthansa held our plane due to their error in some runway and docking issues and we, as well as 25 other were escorted to our connection by Lufthansa staff. Excellent customer service even though it was their fault. They just did the right thing and did it well."

I had plenty of time. As soon as got of the train I got into line to check my luggage. I had boarding pass already. Line to check luggage was huge with 2-3 clerks to check luggage for all US flights. After while I complained that I will miss flight to several clerk who were standing around talking on the phones all the time but answer, if I got one was, sir you will be fine. After one hour I got to security check line which was equally long. I complained again no response. With probably 20 minutes left I cut the line on my one mad as hell. I got at 10:00 am at the gate and some older lady was like " Sorry sir we closed the flight". I said "What do you mean, it is 10 am and flight is at 10:05am??? "Sir we sold your ticket" I couldn't believe her words. Anyway they sent me to Munich to catch flight to LA next day. Best part I HAD TO PAY HOTEL IN MUNICH BECAUSE LUFTHANSA DID WANT TO COVER EXPENSES. I don't know what happened to famous German organizational skills or this is just Lufthansa and her careless employees."

Boarding in Warsaw was chaotic - no announcements it just sort of started, I was in Zone 3 but there were only lines for Zones 1 and 2. The usual Central European pushing into the line. Flight was nice, smooth and good service. Leg room is limited but that is to be expected on any airline and flight. Would fly LOT again happily. On time, Captain made regular announcements. I arrived safely, as did my luggage. Can't wait for the direct service between Chicago and Budapest."

After standing in line for 30 minutes the woman at the counter said we were in the wrong line and was extremely rude as if we were stupid for not being able to follow the Polish signage. We had simply stood in the line we were directed to. Counter clerks not very pleasant compared with other airlines!"

Boarding was efficient and the seat quite comfortable. I was asleep before take off and didn't wake until 30 mins before landing. For any airline that many complain about - there is nothing I could fault. Yes - it is cheap and yes there are restrictions but if you follow the advice ie pack to the kg limit, arrive as per the airline suggestion for checkin and be at the gate when required and pre-order any food (or eat before the flight) - there is nothing I can complain about - it was cheap and I was able to be where I needed to be 10 min ahead of schedule. Staff were friendly and helpful."

I love discount airlines, but being charged for things that would make me happier while not costing the airline a penny is too far. Ryanair gets your initial business with artificially low rates and then nickle-and-dimes you until you pay at least as much as you would by just going with an honest carrier that charges normal prices up front. I am tired of being messed about when there are equivalently priced carriers that aren't such shysters."

The crew and all the staff we encountered were all very polite and courteous from the staff at checking in to the guys on the plane itself. The seating was comfortable but we were only in the air for an hour or so due to the shortness of the flight. We didn't eat anything on board and didn't really need to be 'entertained' whilst flying mainly due to the short distance that we flew. All in all a very positive experience!"

So the overall experience to get there with everything changed on my booking through kayak was an absolute nightmare. I almost missed my flight I almost couldn't get my bag on the plane and it would have screwed me on all the other flights and everything I had set up for the week. The flight itself is fine the landing sucked I mean really sucked and I've flown a lot of places I haven't felt that heavy of a jerk since I was in a race car taking a turn"
