Kayak did not even recognize the cancellation and continued to try and check me in to flights i was not on. Such a headache.. I will not be using this service in the future"

I appreciate it, because I don't think they are legally obligated, though it is the ethical thing to do."

My nephew is studying in Valencia, and we thought it would be a really fun and memorable experience for them to meet, and maybe they would have decided to do some traveling together in the future or my friend's son could have visited my nephew in Valencia at some point this school year. I had booked 1D, but was moved back to 5D with absolutely no option to change back to the first row to finish my work. I had to sit sideways to be able to work, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I don't understand why they couldn't have moved me back to the first row and move the non-SEN/HON sleeping members back to 5D and 5F, or at least asked them if they would mind. The plane was massively late, and I missed my followup meetings at the airport."

Мінуси: "The seating on this aircraft is inadequate for a long flights. Tall people really suffer due to seat size and spacing. There was a 6"6" man of median weight for his height who was in the middle seat next to me and he could barely fit into his seat. It was not his fault, rather the unrealistic expectation that airline seats actually fit today's customer. Not only is there not enough leg room, but the width of the seat leaves no room for arms or shoulders. No one should have to ride 7-plus hours touching the shoulders of the passenger next to them! I used to prefer to fly on Lufthansa because their seating was more comfortable than other carriers, but I will try another airline next time."

The crew also stated I couldn't switch to an aisle seat because " we are completely booked" although all 3 rows in front of me had empty aisle seats all the way from Cairo to Frankfurt so I was stuck in a middle seat which the person in front completely reclining their seat for 4 hrs. At 5'10" it was not only uncomfortable but a painful flight. Things improved somewhat from Frankfurt to Miami but was still pretty tight due to the reclining seats. Luckily I got an aisle seat on that leg and the middle seat next to me was open. There was no entertainment on the Cairo to Frankfurt leg."

They said that I had enough time and that's my fault - I even should be thankful that I don't pay for another flight that I am going to be flying in 7 hours. Bottom line: I got to Kiev at 9:20 PM and moreover, the flight landed 30 mins late. It never happened to me, despite I've been more than on 25 flights. I am shocked by employee's behavior and the situation in general. Would never recommend Lufthansa airline to anyone."

I had a super pleasant experience with Air Canada prior to this trip so it made me so sad. On the other hand, crew were fantastic. We missed our connecting flight but they took care of us so I was happy in that sense."

Hot beverages were generally not served due to turbulence and water service during the 12hr flight was minimal."

I think they were going for more of a regional food choice flying to Tokyo. But the "snack" of a Cup of Ramen noodles seemed like a slap in the cultural face. I'm American and felt a little offended by the Ramen Noodles. But other than that the experience was awesome!"

Мінуси: "From the time of booking the flight, we tried to sort out our profiles, provide passport and KTN, and frequent flyer info, as requested when we booked. Website problems were numerous, from being kicked off multiple times, to refusing to accept my info. I tried numerous times to call on the phone since the web site didn't work, but either didn't get through or was directed back to the web site. Eventually, I reached someone that told me it would be best to just sort it out at the airport. At the airport, I was told I should have set things up ahead of time. In the end, two of us traveling together, with work to do together over the course of the 13 hour flight, ended up sitting on opposite sides of the plane, and didn't get fed because they ran out of food. This shouldn't happen to anyone, but having paid for premium economy seats, you can imagine I was even angrier. We brought this up with a customer service rep in person when we landed and were told that she had no power to do anything and that we should call when we got home. And just to top things off, when I realized I couldn't get work done, I tried watching a movie and learned that the audio jack on my entertainment system was broken."

I am sure I did it for the departure, and I am absolutely certain I did it on the return. I contacted them because I didn't want to go hungry on another 10+ hour flight. I think, what happened was, another vegetarian who didn't order ahead requested a vegetarian meal and got mine. I was told I had to verify 48 hours before my flight. Why? Could I have become non-vegetarian in that amount of time? You should have to say it only once. I have never had this problem on any other airline, and it happened the only two times I've flown Air Canada. The light positions are terrible; my neighbors' light shown directly into my face the entire flight."

This left us in a panic about dealing with bed bugs. Apparently, bed bugs on planes are becoming more common place! We've contacted Air Canada via email about a week ago and are waiting to hear back from them. Furthermore, the flight to and from Tokyo did not allow much time for sleeping. The flight attendants were going up and down the aisles very often with meals/snacks, drinks, duty-free, and charity requests. I was expecting a lull after the dinner meal where they would dim the lights and limit services for a few hours, but it did not happen. While impressive how many services were available it was a bit much and would have preferred less to allow for some quiet time. Finally, the return flight from Tokyo to Toronto there was a single flight attendant who was quite rude to the other attendants as well as passengers. While boarding a lady in front of us didn't have her boarding pass when entering the plane but was with her husband. This flight attendant asked her for the pass, and she said she knew where her seat was because her husband was right in front of her and they were sitting together (at this point we had our boarding passed check 3 times before even boarding the plane). The attendant raised her voice at the lady and told her it didn't matter and that she needed the pass. Within a few minutes, she was getting after a few flight attendants for insignificant things. This behavior continued throughout the flight, very unprofessional. This was my first time flying Air Canada and I was not impressed."
Плюси: "Air Canada is definitely good quality for the price! The crew is great and the overall comfort of their flights is great."
Мінуси: "The long-haul transcontinental flights haven't been upgraded with wifi just yet, so a 12 hour business flight without internet. Also, it was hard to know how to upgrade my seat on the return flight; I would have paid for it but couldn't figure out how to upgrade when checking in."
Мінуси: "the staff at Toronto airport are awful. all of them gave me different instructions when my reservation between Toronto and Newark was cancelled. they left my checked in my suitcase at Toronto and delivered to my apartment 2 days after. I don't want to use them again!"
Плюси: "A reasonable amount of leg room (I'm 6'1" and didn't have my knees pressed against the seat ahead), decent selection of films, and regular food--airplane food, but decent for that."
Плюси: "Flight arrived early and I had a 4 hour layover. I was able to quickly get onto an earlier flight, and I was even upgraded to a better seat."
Мінуси: "I didn't like the fact that because the flight from Bradley to Toronto was late I almost missed my Tokyo flight.. It would not have been such a big deal if I wasn't going all the way to-Tokyo. And had to go through customs. The commuter plane was delayed getting to Bradley. I got to Toronto, and again we had to wait on the tarmac. They knew we were coming and were late as it was. Canadian air also knew I had to catch a flight to Tokyo. I thought my connection times were to close and I was right. No one told me that I had to go through international customs. So, I was in the wrong place.When I made that discovery I literally ran to customs and asked to cut in line. Again I ran to get to the gate. They were boarding when I arrived. Why I say did you put me through all that when it was avoidable? Then on the way back after a 14 hour flight I had a 6 hour delay to get back to Hartford. Why was that I ask? The same thing happened last year. And you didn t fix it yet? Nightmare. And lets not even talk about the food on the plane. I make sure I eat before the flight if I have time.In this case there was no time. I also had to change flight dates. I was on the phone for 1.5 hours on hold. Only to be told that I was calling the wrong place. So, that's my Air Canada experience. Some sort of cash or check rebate should be in order. Not a voucher to fly with them again."

Плюси: "The only thing good about the whole trip was the stewardesses were very good at their job and very helpful but the seats were uncomfortable and dirty and they were too close together and very uncomfortable to sit in"

Плюси: "Less than 2 hours. The plane was a very quiet and smooth ride. It was NOT the plane we were scheduled to be on. Problem was not with the actual plane. It was a baggage problem. See below."
Мінуси: "When we checked our baggage in Washington, D.C., we were told we would not see our bags until we arrived in Hiroshima. That turned out to be misinformation. When we arrived in Tokyo, we were told we would have to pick up our bags at baggage claim and take them to our connecting flight area. We only had 1 3/4 hours between flights and it took us over an hour just to get our bags. By the time we got our bags and got to the drop off point for the connecting flight, it was way past the time when they stopped accepting bags for the connecting flight. This caused us a lot of stress. We are not seasoned travelers, we were traveling in a foreign country with a language we are unfamiliar with, and are elderly. We got into 2 wrong lines before a fellow traveler with the same situation helped us. She spoke Japanese and was able to put us in contact with someone who could help us. We were fortunate to get a flight an hour later to our final destination. Now we worry about the return trip having a similar problem."

Мінуси: "Non weather related cancellations of 10 flights to the US and every other flight was delayed by a minimum of 2 hours. Many flights were delayed by hours then cancelled later on. There was no explanation from the staff. Also, one of the door fire alarms kept going off every few minutes and it was never fixed but eventually shut off. Very unreliable air carrier."
Мінуси: "It is Air Canada Express. It has long delay hours both to and from for us traveling from Chicago O'Hare to Japan. No explanation. Made us missed out flight in Tokyo and had to stay at hotel. Air Canada did not honor our flight mileages because of their delay, they had to put us to UA. UA was bad too."
Плюси: "The entertainement system was great, unfortunately some of the movies were said to have english subtitles, but no matter how hard I tried... None."
Мінуси: "I wish I could of had a vegetarian meal, but there was no flexibility and I don't believe I was offered the choice during check-in...."
Мінуси: "I was not able to select the seat in advance although I purchased the ticket way in advance. We should be able to choose a seat online in advance. Especially when you are traveling with another family member a friend, you don't want be seated away from each other. That was one of the issues I had with Air Canada."
Плюси: "The flight had good entertainment, decent food, good service, and it left on time. I've never been really impressed with Air Canada but they provide great value for the money as they have sort of become the budget airline of international travel without having a true "budget airline feel." I'll take a good flight to Tokyo with Air Canada for $1100 over an excellent flight to Tokyo for $1500 or $1600, or maybe more. I also like the option of having a long layover in Toronto or Montreal with Air Canada, as these are good cities to spend a few hours in. On the flight back from Tokyo, I had a nice layover in Toronto that lasted almost a day."
Мінуси: "The electronic/entertainment system went down for a about an hours so that was annoying. This only happened on the return flight but it was enough to create anxiety and make you wonder when it's going to come back on. Airline food is hardly ever much but it's pretty dull on Air Canada. It's not a bad idea to bring some of your own food and alcohol onto an Air Canada flight. The service was good but the stewards don't seem to enjoy their job as much as on some other airlines."

Мінуси: "We upgraded to the bulk-head seats for the long 12-hour flight. The seat I had (second from the aisle) had the bolted framework (where the computer screen tucked into) sticking out. Since I'm short, this really interfered with my left leg room. On a normal flight, this probably wouldn't have even mattered, but since it was a 12-hour+ flight, and I paid an extra $120 to upgrade to that seat, it was a little disappointing. But, again, a small complaint to the great service we received."

Мінуси: "One of the flight attendants woke me up when I was seated in my wife's business class seat. She then said "go back to your seat in economy" in a tone that was dripping with condescension."
Плюси: "Haneda is a beautiful airport and the airline staff there were great, as service generally is in Japan."
Мінуси: "need to devise a better boarding process--small number of zone 1 and 2 passengers, then massses in 3, 4, and 5. More zones or more thought into how to improve customer experience for all."
Мінуси: "The announcement about turbulence were to much. Could have been way more subtle or shorter"
Плюси: "Almost everything, from check-in, to boarding, the crew, comfort, food and entertainment were great. Was able to easily check-in from my mobile. Boarding was one hour early and gave everyone enough time (due to this, we left early about 15 minutes before actual departure time and arrived even earlier at about 40 minutes before actual arrival time). Whole crew was friendly except for one (see my other comments). Seats were comfortable and roomier compared to other airlines. Food was perfect. Did not feel hungry or bloated. Entertainment choices provided tons of movie and TV shows to choose from. Even the customs procedure at Toronto was very easy. I would fly Air Canada again to and from Tokyo. Thank you."
Мінуси: "My flight was almost perfect except for one snafu. There was one flight attendant who gave me a broken plastic glass when I asked for apple juice. The juice was flowing out so fast that my aisle seatmate got drenched. He never offered any apologies and when my seatmate and I both asked for some extra napkins, he looked at us very rudely. It was a surprise as rest of the crew were very nice that I regret never getting his name to report here."

Мінуси: "Hidden seating fees and loopholes prevented any hope of knowing what seat you will be assigned. Constantly met with "Seat assignments can change at any moment for a variety of reasons." Be warned if sitting with your travelling party is important, even paying the up-charge for a reserved seat does not mean that will be seat you will have when you check in and will be greeted with "Their is nothing we can do at this time" as a response from the staff. Food ranged from okay to dreadful. Will not fly Air Canada again."
Плюси: "Crew was pleasant and efficient. The entertainment consoles were nice, having games and movies and flight tracking."
Мінуси: "Nothing wrong with the flight, but security and customs at Lester b Pearson was an inefficient and an unpleasantly long experience. Had to show passport and/or boarding pass half a dozen times at different stations. Many of the stations were within sight of each other, so...why? It was a nightmare and it took over an hour. This applies to coming back to the U.S. The process while going through Canada was fine. While I would fly with Air Canada again, I will be avoiding that airport on my next trip."

Мінуси: "Because of snowstorm, my original flight was cancelled. Air Canada put me on the following day's United flight which was also cancelled. Afterall, I arrived 24 hrs late. They couldn't control bad weather, I understand, What I don't get is both Air Canada and United put us on hold for nearly three hours. The wait was so bad we were using three phones. By the time we could reschedule our flights, we spent four hours on phone. United's attitude was worse than Air Canada. Hire more staff to take calls, for god's sake. Food is bad. The audio has no classic channel. The wait at YYZ was 6 and half hours. Too long."

Мінуси: "The seats are pretty tight for someone my height (6'2"). The plane was brand new and it's clear that they have sacrificed comfort for capacity. My knees hit seat in front of me when it is reclined any amount. Since I had injured my knee during my travel in Japan there was added discomfort. I attempted to upgrade to more legroom at check-in, but the only option was business class which would have been at least $500, something I could not afford."
