Tgere was no announcement of any kind (found out later, Turkish sir doesn't do announcement at the Istanbul airport. No clue as to why). Thought, tgere was another delay and by the time I asked, it was too late to catch my flight and that's when I got a full dose of every single person w Turkish air trying to stiff me with the most outrageous penalty for changing Nguyen my ticket. Started out at $1114 on a $758 ticket, then went down to $925 and if I stay over night, down to $750. Seriously? Rude, talking down at me and telling me that if I don't pay the penalty, my return ticket will be cancelled. I keep getting bounced from one person to another being told to wait here and wait there then I finally got so sick of all of it, bought a new connecting flight online, spending the night in Istanbul and will see what will happen w my return flight to the US. I call this 'theft' as, if i buy an entire new ticket from Istanbul to Cairo then back to the US online, it will cost me less than the penalty they're trying to get me to pay. Shame on you Turkish airline!! You'd think w all the issues they're having w tourism in their country these days they'd care about not doing this kind of mistreatment of their clients."

The entire Turkish airlines team at IST is the biggest joke for a customer service team I have ever encountered in any line of business. I have never met a group of "professionals" that are so unprofessional, rude, void of empathy, and overall customer service knowledge than the turkish airlines team at IST. I will never conduct business with Turkish Airlines again and will ensure all my friends, family, and colleagues try their best to avoid them too."

No boarding pass kiosks and unclear why they would not provide a digital one upon online check-in. Or rather it became clear as I handed over my debit card. Seats are intentionally designated apart from your travel companions so you'll pay more to have them switched to sit next your friend. Cabin is extra cramped. Ryannair is all-around terrible by budget airline standards."

Found out during boarding they were checking bags for free...should have done carry on and avoided the extra costs."

We accept that after 90 passengers this is usual, however on this occasion we were tight for time and the other queue boarding the same flight, that came to the gate late were not "asked" to put their carry on bags in the hold. Poor service Ryanair, what would happen if we refused? It was done in an unfair manner and when questioned we were brushed off with a mumbled response. We will look at other low-cost airlines in future."

They wouldn’t check and give me boarding pass till l paid 15 euro. Horrible airline. After that they wanted to charge us for food and drinks on a international flight. Never again !!!!"
Мінуси: "They never told me that my next flight was delayed for over 6 hours, even though they knew it already. They could have told me that and offer some options to get to my destination on time, but instead they worried more about my luggage being a little overweight And what is totally ridiculous, they charged me over $30 per person to check-in! They said if I did not check-in online in advance, I have to pay the fee to be checked-in at the airport."

Flight attendants were incompetent. Moving the items on board all around to make room. Also, snack special was not available so they tried to substitute different sandwich without telling us and then did not know how to calculate refund. Very bad."

Мінуси: "The food was terrible and quite questionable as to the freshness and "realness" of it. My friend's grape had mold on it and the taste of the meals were not good. The flight is extremely tight with little room to move. If I was not flying with someone I knew it would be extremely uncomfortable as you are shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you (me and my friend are both tiny and we just fit in the seats). The space is just OK if it were a domestic or short flight of 3 hours or so, but it should be illegal to put that many people on a flight across the ocean. There are no videos behind your seat so you have to watch what they choose on the few videos hanging from the ceiling. The staff were not very friendly. Plane was not well kept and the plane is old."

Мінуси: "The UAI crew in Kharkov didn't know how to check me in. They didn't understand the inputs they needed in their Computer for my KLM/ Ukrainian Airline itinerary. It was horrible. After more than 1,5 hours they were able to give me one boarding pass to Kiev. And in Kiev the nightmare was even worse. I spent each minute of my layover time to run around begging for help. Nobody had a clue and was interested to help me. I needed to get mad and curse in order to be sent to the desk #1 with their technical expert. After another excruciating 20 minutes with absolutely unacceptable customer interaction I was handed the two boarding passes to Amsterdam and Detroit. 0 points in customer service. At times I thought I'll have an heart attack. Lousy as hell. Obviously the so called partnership of KLM and UAI is not a good idea, because this piss-poor experience is falling directly back on KLM (and in my case Delta Airlines, of which I am still a fan). KLM should either dump them of educate them and make them follow their standards."
