They provide 2 meals and a third snack (usually a pizza) and keep additional snacks and drinks fully stocked in the back of the plane. None of that existed on this flight. The crew was very uninterested. Seemed very absent and not into assisting patrons. Overall, not what I have experienced on prior Qatar Airways flights. To add insult to injury, I was sitting next to an EXTREMELY smelly person, which didn't make the experience any easier :( Not the airlines responsibility to ensure patrons exercise proper hygiene, but that didn't help the situation with my hungry growling stomach."

Мінуси: "The flight attendant dropped a suitcase on my head when I was sleeping. I had terrible headache, nauseous, and dizzy with some really uncomfortable neck pain. The staff tried to get me to take medicines that I could not read for nauseous but I would not. They said they were prescribed by a doctor! What doctor. The flight was the longest worst ever! 14 hours - nothing to eat or drink! In addition, the head flight attendant said the baggage compartment over my head was a problem as it opens all the way down and bags fall easily out. The bag was easily 30 pounds and landed directly on my head. I suffered a concussion."

Плюси: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."
Мінуси: "Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

The Doha airport is an architect's Ego Trip and badly laid out, extremely long walks to get anywhere, ferocious prices for anything (carry snacks for your layover!). The smoking lounge doesn't even have a proper exhaust system so smoke permeates the terminal in the vicinity. Plus 4 bar stools hogged by rude, arrogant young Arab men who have NO respect or consideration for elders, disabled, etc. Incident with boarding passenger in Saigon was VERY badly handled & delayed departure over an hour, risking connections for a number of passengers. They cannot handle things well, yet crew is basically nice, kind. Food is AWFUL; saving grace is fresh fruit, roll & butter, yoghurt - the nice little side dishes."

Unaccompanied minors were boarded at the end, they should have been boarded first and their cabin baggage take care of first. The quality of food is average ... it used to be much better. No alcohol was served in the flight; was not provided even after requesting one; didn't bother to ask again. The choice of movies were limited"

Unfortunately we could not afford to upgrade to business, but because we let the Agent know it was our honeymoon he put my wife and I in a window and aisle seat so that we would have nobody between us. This gave us the extra room and comfort we needed. Also, they are a bit roomier than most planes with better leg room. They have a TON of free movies, tv shows, games, music and more on the plane. Food was decent for airplane food and they gave lots of snacks in between."

Everyone was packed in. Boarding felt chaotic. Staff did their best. Food was not as good as on some Emirates flights I've been on. However, it was over quickly. No harm done. Flying can be delightful. Or not. And Emirates seems to handle those days when "not" pretty well."

When the person in front of me leaned their seat back, I couldn't eat my mael comfortably and the TV screen was 12 inches away from my face."

Мінуси: "There was a group of teenagers sitting in 8 seats in two of the middle rows right next to me. They spent the whole flight climbing all over the seats and each other. They were very loud, often banging into other passenger's seats, and leaving their stuff in the aisle where people were tripping over things as they walked by. They were really inconsiderate of other passengers - many of whom were trying to sleep on a 13-hour flight. It would have been nice if the crew would have told them to be quieter and more respectful of other passengers."

Мінуси: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

Plus the crew should tell you what kind of pasta you’re getting! I got the pasta but I didn’t know it was filled with cheese and cream but by the time they came back to me I told them that I can’t have this they didn’t have anymore left of anything so I didn’t have anything to eat. And the breakfast the next day was awful. And by the way I saw that the crew had a really good meal. I should be able to pick up meal ahead of time… When you’re booking. It was a long day with no hot meal."

After talking to 4 different people at cashier booths for an hour, we finely got tickets with Austrian lines to our destination city. I wish that Borispol Airport team could be more prepared(provide more customer service personal) to solve the problems such as a flight delay in order to serve better the passengers in stressful situations."

Мінуси: "Flight out was late due to the bus being late picking up the crew. We had to run for our connections. On the way back we were delayed again , leaving 20 minutes to make our connection. Security at Frankfurt was so poor. Of the potential number of lines available, there were only two operating despite the number of passengers, most of whom were late for their connections. It took us over 30 minutes to get through. Luckily the connecting flight was delayed over an hour."

Мінуси: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

The staff came by quite a few times to offer orange juice or water. The entertainment syren was excellent. I watched four full movies on the trip and have in mind at least a couple more for the return leg."

So I wonder why the crew cannot travel earlier to airport taking into account potential traffic jams. Knowingly I trvaelled to the airport about 2.5h before departure and made it perfectly on time to the airport, even though working in the morning, whereas the crew couldnt make it. maybe Lufthansa should change their crew hotel policy in particular for towns with notorious traffic jams like Kiev.."

The dedicated business class check-in line and advance boarding process was smooth - as were both flights. The cabin crew on both flights were very good and all spoke English well. My chief complaint is with the European Business Class seating model (3 across with center seat empty) - which does not afford much more leg room or seat pitch than in economy class. On the plus side you don't have to get in a fist-fight with anyone over the overhead bin storage problem since there are less people in business class and hence more storage space."

Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."
