The airline did not send me the standard check in and flight information email, so when out of concer for my flight, I logged in a few hours before to find out that all the good seats were already taken. When I then proceeded to online check in, I was dumbfounded to find out that I do not have any luggage allowance. When I called their English language help line I was connected to a prerecorded message and then promptly connected to a Polish speaking person. Lucky for me I speak some Polish, but if you do not you would have a problem. The person then proceeded to inform me that the flight from Poland to London that I was taking is considered by the Polish airlines as a local flight and for that reason I'm not allotted a free checked in bag. I fly a lot all over the world and this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. I will now permanently stay away from Lot. They shouldnot be considered a major airline, but a cheap flight air. This way when booking a flight you would know to not expect much from them."

An apparently overbooked flight led to a cascade of errors - there seemed to be a total breakdown in communication between the gate/services team and the ground crew, etc. as to where the extra passengers came from and what could be done with them. They even admitted to their being many misunderstandings among the LOT staff themselves as they struggled to rectify the situation. The worst outcome was that we got trapped in the bus, right outside the plane, for 30 minutes. They had sent us to board while back at the gate they were still arguing over who should actually be on the plane. During this time there was no sign of the cabin crew at all. After 10 minutes or so the driver left to go and have a chat with some of the ground ops team and we were left on our own as the windows steamed up and small children started to cry. The whole thing was an appalling exercise in miscommunication - both between staff themselves and between staff and passengers."

Мінуси: "The airline made us go to the gate where there was no seating, though they knew the flight was an hour late, so we stood for an hour, before being told we had to check carry on bags in the hold, carrying computers,valuables, batteries, and drinks in our hands (not possible). Card payment on board was disabled. Payment in the currency of the departing country was impossible."
Плюси: "It got me home."
Мінуси: "Firstly, there were no sandwiches (hot or cold) available on a late afternoon flight, so the remaining food options were poor. Secondly, my £7 Gin and Tonic that I'd hardly touched slid right off the frankly useless trays and into my lap. The flight attendant literally threw me a few paper towels to help. I spent the remaining three hours of the flight soaking wet."

Мінуси: "Anytime I felt asleep I was poking by the crew member running around the plane to sell food, scratch cards etc. When I asked for a glass of water I received an answer which states that water is impotable. What a shame. They force you to buy whole bottle."
Мінуси: "A printed boarding pass is required, however, no where at the airport to print them. The second rep took pity on us and wrote out boarding passes. The first rep couldn't care less."
Плюси: "The flight itself wasn't horrible. The seats were comfortable and staff was pleasant."
Мінуси: "Boarding the airplane was TERRIBLE. We did not even board the aircraft until 10 minutes after our flight was supposed to leave and did not end up taking off until 40 minutes later. Comments from the pilot and flight attendants were unintelligible. When we landed it was obvious that the flight crew was trying to make up for lost time, but it produced a VERY rough landing. I have never gotten nauseous on a flight before but I was after that landing. Rough, uncomfortable, and honestly kind of scary."
Плюси: "The price of the flight and that they had direct from Barcelona to Sofia. Also that they gave us a free checked bag so that we did not have to carry it onto the already cramped plane."
Мінуси: "The boarding process was slow and late. When we booked the flight it was stated that we got a snack and water, but we had to pay for everything. Drinks were almost double that of other discount carriers that were more comfortable. Also, a very expensive box of chocolates, that we purchased as a gift, was stolen from one of our free checked bags, either in Barcelona or Bulgaria. We did not notice until we got home and unpacked."

Мінуси: "The Greek ATC strike cancelled all flights for 2 days but my flight on Monday had not yet been cancelled although my flight out of Athens on American was cancelled and replaced with a much earlier flight so Monday on Ryanair would not work for me. There was no way on earth that I could get in touch with any human or even online Chat (no one available - ever). The website would not let me make a change - not even to reduce my luggage from 1 bag to zero. No refund because they show me as having flown on the flight! Tried faxing headquarters and no response. Wow what a total rip-off!!!"
Мінуси: "Ryanairs policy of checking in online or paying a 45 euro fee is ridiculous. I've never heard of an airline charging people as they check in at the airport. On top of that, they make it so you can't even check in online within 2 hours of the flight so you're forced to pay when you get there. It's a sneaky crooked system Ryanair has in place. I'm incredibly dissatisfied with my treatment from Ryanair and I will never be flying with them again."

Мінуси: "This bullshit airline cost me an extra $1000. I never even made it to Porto because of this airline. I had to buy another fight to Lisbon so I wouldn't miss those hotel reservations also."
Плюси: "The flight attendants were very funny and friendly. They were proffessional and helpful."

The crew was busy promoting their merchandise - perfumes and make up, and one sturdiest keep talking on the speakers about the wonderful quality of what ever he was selling. It was a terrible flight and we finished with a headache. Besides, we were charged highly for the suitcases, being a party of 4 (parents with 2 kids) with 2 suitcases 25 kg each. shouod have bought another bag for the kids.."

Мінуси: "When I bought the ticket, the plane was supposed to leave at 4:10pm, then it was changed to 4:30pm and although I asked for help explaining that I was going to miss my connection they said there was nothing they could do for me. So I lost my next flight and had to spend the night at a hotel at my own expense. They charge extra for checking in at the counter (43 euros), for your bag (40-60 euros), and their kg limit is 20 as opposed to 23 that most other airlines have, so they charge 10 euros per extra kg. During the flight you have to pay for everything you may want to eat/drink, including water."
Мінуси: "they charge you 46 British Pounds if you do not check in yourself up to 2 hrs before the flight...it says in their written notes that you may have fees if you do not check in yourself....though I think they should write "if you do not check in yourself 2 hrs before the flight 46 Br Pounds fees occur!" None of their self check in terminals at Stansted did not work, their signs where to check in is totally confusing...and their staff is not very friendly...."
