Плюси: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."

Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

I and a random group of passengers were made to wait with no explanation AFTER our electronics were already cleared to go through yet another security check. They said we were selected for screening but all the other people they took before us were screened the exact same way. It was stressful and traumatizing to stand for 45 minutes with no clear explanation. The crew were clearly new at their job or ill trained. On top of that they consistently ran out of food they were serving and was forced to take the vegetarian option when it's not what I wanted. I could not wait to leave Doha and exit Qatar airways. I hated my experience traveling with Qatar. It was stressful and traumatic. I want a full refund. I will also be advising all my friends to never fly Qatar. It was the WORST!"

This was the third time this airlines cancelled a flight on us for the same trip. The first two times were traveling from Miami to Delhi, we had to change our itinerary because they cancelled the flight, and we had to fly on different dates. This caused a series of hotel changes and cancellations costing us a lot of money. On the flight that we finally got from Doha to JFK, the man sitting next to me SMELLED LIFE THE FUNK OF 40,000 YEARS. It is unbearable. Thirteen hours of pungent body odor that even the flight attendants acknowledged was horrific. It was a miserable experience flying with this airline for what was to be the trip of a lifetime."

Мінуси: "5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it."

I proceeded to try an get on the next flight at 8:20 while asking about a window seat the lady told me I would have to pay an additional $19! Well I had already paid $50. So the nice lady put me on that flight after I had already asked for window seat. She put me in the middle seat! I get that planes have problems and flights are delayed! There was so much bad yesterday then good and I feel like delta should know. It's more and more bad everytime I fly! Please fix these problems!"

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

After arguing with KLM for many hours, they finally booked her on a flight the following day, but refused to put her up in a hotel for the night, or compensate her for the trouble. Мінуси: "I arrived at the airport and attempted to check in at 11:17, 58 minutes before my flight was schedule to depart, having just rushed to the airport from my father's bedside in the hospital. I purchased a ticket on this flight because I absolutely needed to be back in New York City by 2:30 pm today - otherwise, I wouldn't have left. When I attempted to use the kiosk to check in, my booking reference number couldn't be found, despite repeated attempts. When I approached a customer service agent to check in manually, I was simply told that I could not - I was not offered any reason other than that I was "too late" and not offered any alternative. I asked to speak with a supervisor who attempted to clear me for check in seeing as I had no bags to check and have a Global Entry card, but was told by the agent that I spoke with that the flight was over booked and so there were now no longer any seats available. I asked to speak with the supervisor in person, and was told she was on her way, but 15 minutes later she was nowhere to be seen and time was ticking. While the first agent was completely unhelpful, and never offered to rebook me on another flight, another agent helped me by giving me a boarding pass for the next flight and told me she was putting me on standby for the flight I originally purchased the ticket for. I got to the gate in plenty of time to board my original flight, but was told that I wasn't on the standby list and there were simply no seats left on the flight - even though I purchased one which should have been held for me until 10 minutes before departure as is the policy for every other airline as far as I am aware. I am beyond frustrated that due to Air Canada's overbooking the airline used the excuse that I arrived 58 minutes before my flight to give the ticket I purchased away to someone else, with no consideration for me as a customer. The extremely poor customer service I received only added insult to injury. I am completely stumped as to how Air Canada could possibly be the only airline in North America with a 4 star rating when I have consistently experienced overbooking, flight cancellations, and abysmal customer service, including 30 minute wait times to speak to an agent, an inability to check in online for international travel, topped off by poor in flight service, when traveling Air Canada. I have never before complained but am doing so in this case because today's experience truly put me over the top when the airline's blatant disregard for my circumstances and needs as a customer and overbooking practices went beyond causing annoyance and inconvenience. I am therefore requesting a full refund of the ticket I purchased only to be bumped off the flight I paid for."

I thought that was pretty gracious under the circumstances, and was happy to see that passengers didn't take advantage of the option :-). Looks like United is doing its best to counteract its recent negative publicity. Well done!"

Once we finally left the gate and headed out on the runway for takeoff we stopped just before takeoff and the pilot said we were waiting on PAPERWORK AGAIN! This was another 30 minute delay and we finally took off. We were supposed to arrive home at 10:00pm and instead arrived at 3:00am..."

From rude united employees to a bad flying experience i will not use united anymore and frankly, me and all the other passengers on that flight should be compensated somehow for that experience. The only easy thing about this trip was purchasing my tickets through kayak and how well there service is. Thank you"
