I had a horrible experience booking tickets in kayak. Got cancelled the last minute and had to give a hefty price. No customer support as well.
great crew - very efficient. Food was restaurant quality and good choices. Large movie selection, but a little weak with the music, games seemed OK.
The crew is horrible. Especially at the ticketing and checking counter. Very irresponsible, lazy and no emphathy.

The airport staff of Qatar airlines was UNFRIENDLY and UNHELPFUL. They all acted like we were bothering them. They gave no help in moving from one station to another. In general they gave an extremely bad first impression of Qatar airlines!!
Recommend Qatar Airways to everyone! Service, leg room, and food are all great.

Мінуси: "There are couple things. First of all, it was cold almost for everyone: everyone used a blanket, and some people asked for a second blanket. Secondly, I think that if this airline became the best airline in 2017, staff should care about their passengers’ stuff more than they do, so backpacks or suitcases don't lose parts or get crushed during flights. When I got my backpack back, I thought that someone had used it to play football. My backpack had lost some parts, and some pieces of it were torn!"

I’m not sure flight with such short connections should be sold at all - with the previous flight being late 20 minutes, we were met at arrival gate by Qatar airlines employee that told us our connecting flight left without us. They helped us with everything onward- getting new boarding passses, hotel and meal vouchers, but all of this should not have been needed if such short connections were not sold."

Мінуси: "(1) Was about to miss flight because originally my flight booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but t the time of flight I boarded from a different and new airport in Islamabad which had become operational in Islamabad in the last week of April 2018 . My flight was on 10th May 2018 from Islamabad to Doha to Chicago but neither my online booking site ( Kayak ) not Qatar Airways sent any notification that my Boarding was changed from Banzir International Airport to the newer, bigger airport. Consequently , on the day of flight, I went to check in and board from the Bnazir International Airport but upon reaching the airport I was told that the airport was no more in operation. I was surprised to hear that all flights were to be from the newer airport. By the time I rerouted my taxi to the new airport I was already late for my flight but fortunately the flight from Islamabad to Doha, Qatar was delayed and I made it to the boarding time and flew to Doha , Qatar and then to Chicago."

Мінуси: "The boarding was not handled properly. There was a 40 mins delay, keeping in mind it was never mentioned on the screens. When seeking guidance from crew members about the flight's boarding different answers were given at different time. First it was no delay, just the plane getting closer to the gate, later followed by a 10 mins wait that later became over 30 mins. Once we finally made it on the flight, when requesting a beverage the only option given is water or orange juice and if you have any dietary restrictions (even when providing said information to the airline) you will remain without food on the shorter flights."

Instabul airport was the usual chaos, which does not add to the experience for transfers. Also: boarding started late and of course was not done and time and since we lost our slot we were further delayed taking off. That made the transfer time even less and the situation more stressful."

Barely let my wife and 2 children in. The check in lady said you have to arrive 4-5 hours before flight depature and almost did not let them fly. Thankfully another attendant helped out.
I had a small back pack and a small suitcase. The boarding staff were extremely rude and wouldn’t let me take both on board. Only one small bag on board even though there was tons of space and I paid for premium seat. Also—they want you to wear their mask—even though I had n95. Will definitely avoid this airline in the future

Also the giant plane felt like it was hard to maneuver during take off and landing. I would very much prefer a smaller plane. The touch screen in front of me was not always responding when I tried to tap the screen. The audio jack was also not working great; sometimes I did not have audio in my right earbud and I had to turn and fidget the plug. The earbuds provided by the airline did not even work when plugged into the screen, I had to use my own earbuds."

I will try never to fly Austrian Airlines again. Absolutely unacceptable behavior toward families, mothers with children, senior citizens. I can almost see the smirks and annoyed and superior attitude of staff at the boarding gate when they had to deal with more passengers asking why boarding hasn't started half an hour ago when we were announced it would. No answers, just show me the passport and boarding pass, ok, please go back, we'll let you know, then ignore questions."

Flight was smooth and uneventful. Good movie choices. Bathroom was clean and nearby. Plane seemed newer Boeing model. The City Airport Transport (CAT) train from the Vienna airport to city center was fantastic. We were able to check our luggage and get boarding passes where we boarded the CAT at the metro station and did not have to wait in line at the airport...wonderful system!"
Мінуси: "At the gate there was a line formed for a second passport check but it was not clear to passengers that they needed to go through this line. A significant number of us had SSSS on our boarding passes which required us to go through a second, more thorough, TSA security procedure. We had to remove shoes, take electronics including phones from cases, have purse contents gone through by personnel, be screened for residue, etc. Due to this process and the fact that we were not advised to stand in the line, a number of passengers went through the second security check at the last minute which caused our takeoff to be delayed. The pilot made up the time during the flight. I ordered low sodium meal which ended up to be the same food at both meals which was a disappointment - pasta with tomato, eggplant sauce."

Sleep would be possible if there were enough room to rest one's head on the tray in front of the seat. This is impossible if the person in front of one's seat has reclined his or her seat. Thus, sleep is totally impossible on this aircraft. The sinks in the bathrooms also need to be deeper and need to drain more quickly."

Border control: HUGE line, only one official Security check: rude and unapologetic; literally tried to open a sealed bag purchased at duty-free Airport (Warsaw): no crowd/mask control. A special form needs to be filled on paper for boarding, despite having filled a similar form online. As a result, a crowd of people (full flight on a 787 Dreamliner) gathered to board the plane, all swarming around the boarding counter, trying to get their forms to fill in. Again, no crowd control and/or attempts to distribute the forms.

Airport security at the connecting airport bounced us back and forth a few times before deciding we should enter the transfer terminal and hope someone from LOT was still on duty. LOT put us up in a hotel overnight and booked us on a flighty the next day. The hotel was 1 hour drive, 50miles, from airport. I reached my final destination 13 hours late."

This wouldn’t have been an issue had the pilot not decided to off board and then re onboard cargo (the commercial stuff they get paid to carry). This took about 20 minutes and then after the winds changed, he decided he could load more passengers. So despite having the doors locked and getting ready to leave the gate, they opened the doors up again and boarded more people for the next 40 minutes. So they chose to make a delayed flight even more delayed (on Christmas Eve). So we inevitably missed our connection in sydney and had to pay a change fee since it’s a different airline. Thanks for the Christmas gift United - you always know how to disappoint your passengers."

I was starving and didn’t get a chance to grab food due to short layover time. We took a while to take off. We’re supposed to leave at 4:15 and left closer to 5pm. Then when we were on the air, flight attendants took a while to provide the snacks and water and they didn’t even get around to our row before they had to sit down for touch down. Smh. Terrible and thoughtless. Seats were uncomfortable and very little leg space. Entertainment only works if you’re able to download their app and of course no free WiFi because airlines want to force you to spend more money after you’ve spent a large amount to fly to your destination."

Since my first flight was delayed and I barely made it to my connection, I had no time to grab something to eat at the airport. And being celiac, there was only a nut and fruit mix. Not enough to substitute for a meal. My biggest complaint however is with 3 hours left of the flight, i turned on the call button to request a beverage and nobody came. I waited 45 minutes, having to turn on the light 3 separate time because it automatically must have timed out. I couldn't get out of my seat due to seat belt sign. I looked back into the rear galley and 5 attendants were back there talking. Tried to get their attention. Nothing. Finally, I got up and went to get my own drinks. Being a server at hotel in waikiki, I understand that customer service is very important. And though I understand that they may have been busy and unable to answer my call, I could see that clearly was not the problem. They were just standing there and chatting. Very frustrating. Though they were friendly, they just simply weren't paying attention. I have to say in all honesty, I will not be recommending nor flying United airlines again."

If you came to my house for 5 hours and I gave you one cookie and a beverage maybe two you would think I was rude or down right cheap."

My overall experience with this airline was horrible! I won’t say I’d never use them again because you never say never BUT they will be my last resort!"

The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."

Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand."

Мінуси: "The guy puked halfway through the flt and not one single flt attendant came even though they were serving drinks repeatedly to the dr sitting in the row in front of me. Also the flt was delayed as we waited almost an hour for people trying to connect which made me more upset since I was rebooked on that later flt because although my previous flt was there half hour before departure, we didn't have a gate to use which caused me to be 15 mins late for my original flt. Did they wait for me?! NO! I was rebooked. It's unfair that they stole an hour of life from every other passenger to accommodate a few. Back to the guy who puked, an hour after that he started shaking and grabbing his head and asking me why am I hurting his heart. Then incoherent blathering and then his last episode 20 minutes before we land in which he started hitting himself in the head saying he would die right now for his wife and how he's made mistakes. It was three separate incidents from this one passenger and not one flt attendant noticed? Yeah it was bad piled on worse stacked on top of never United ever again."

After paying once for my checked bag they tried to make me pay again. Asked to see in writing what they were trying to explain and the manager couldn't do it. They never gave me my ticket stub for my checked bag. So if it hadn't arrived I wouldn't have had anyway to find it. Very disappointing staff in SFO. Seemed aa if no one at SFO was happy to be working there or even worse didnt know what to do most of the time. VERY different than the DEN united experience."

It just kept cutting out, then would say entertainment service isn't offered, etc. Why are airlines going away from personal TVs & instead having you bring your own device which may or may not work with the service up there? There was also NO room. I'm not a big person, but I didn't even have space to put my bad under the seat in front of me & sit comfortably. I flew back on JetBlue with the same amount of stuff and had ample room. It was interesting to see the difference."

Мінуси: "Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board."

Finally supervisor Jill was able to track it down in Chicago where th y took it off the he plane as my carry on because they had no room l ft from the h limited space. After working very hard to get my bag of o White Plains that evening, supervisor Jill hung out an hour past her shift ended to get it on the last transport to my hotel. The transport blew herself by ft and never showed up or called the o say he wasn't coming back! I got my bag on he next morning just in tim for my event! I also was not credited my frequent flyer miles. Some glitch in the system. Overall I must rate my experience as a one star simply because the pilots got us there safely."

While boarding the plane in SFO, the people at the gate made me check my carry on bag. Which I thought was very weird. When we finally got to Chicago I stood in line for two and a half hours to talk to one of the worst customer service lady of my life. She swore at me many times over me trying to be polite and wait for her to call me up to find another flight. Instead she looked at me and said "what are you waiting for?" She said to me "Oh here's a flight. But oh wait it's already sold out or gone" and she would laugh. Finally she found a flight close to where I live. My baggage had got lost from my connecting flight leaving without me. I got all of my luggage 2 days after. My carry on bag that got checked at my gate was in a clear trash bag. I took it out of the bag to find that it was completely trashed. My handles were ripped off which put a huge whole revealing all of my personal items. My carry on bag has only been used once and can never be used again. I unpacked my bag and noticed $300 worth of my stuff was missing. I have called to make many complaints to talk to corporate office but no one would give me the correct number. I will NEVER fly United Airlines again. I am so disappointed."

The issue could not be solved and we had to change planes. On the second plane, the captain shared with travelers that "and two loose wires were found, so it's good we caught that and changed planes". What the heck? Shouldn't basic functions be checked before a plane is boarded? What was supposed to be a 1030 red eye, turned out to be a 1 AM bloodshot eye."

Мінуси: "I was on a super late flight to Chicago and for some reason was placed in Boarding Group 5 (I have a United cc, so I thought that came with the perks). I got over that part. But then they made me check my roller-board claiming they were full up. When I boarded, there was PLENTY of overhead bin space. So I had to go to baggage claim after midnight for no reason. Bummer."
