I was flying as a tourist from Switzerland, but it was easy to notice the condescending manner in which the African passengers were treated. I noticed the same attitude at immigration services in Frankfurt, were the officers were openly teasing, laughing at and harassing an Eritrean man. Some of the comments passed were frankly disgusting..."

Security at Frankfurt was so poor. Of the potential number of lines available, there were only two operating despite the number of passengers, most of whom were late for their connections. It took us over 30 minutes to get through. Luckily the connecting flight was delayed over an hour."

Мінуси: "As many of you know, Frankfurt/San Diego is a new service offered by Lufthansa. It touts direct flights to and from Europe. It’s main advertising draw was connection to the east. Many of their connecting flights at Frankfurt are scheduled within an hour of arrival. This possess a high risk of missing your connecting flight. I experienced this personally as a major number of my fellow travelers missed their connecting flights. Though Frankfurt has good directions, transfers take a long time due to multiple security checks and due to the size of the Airport. LAYOVER OF AT LEAST TWO HOURS WOULD BE BEST. Anything less, you risk missing your flight. I was personally selected TWICE for ‘random check’ for the same flight! Not sure how that can happen! The flight itself is long and arduous. the economy seats are small, cramped and don’t recline much at all. The entertainment selection was very limited. The TV touch screen barely worked. The food was tasteless and service was not much better. I have a hard time sleeping on flights with such bad seats but we had air hostess who kept talking the whole flight and that did not help with resting my eyes. I highly suggest taking a different airline through LAX. I personally feel like driving to LA and taking a flight there would be the wise move."

My left shoulder and arm and left hip started hurting - couldn't sleep - took 2 days to get rid of the numbness in my arm. I asked to move, and it became obvious that there were many empty seats in the next section behind. I moved, and my comfort improved. Why was I given such a posture killer - especially on such a very long flight with seats to spare?"

Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

The flight was 2h delayed in NYC because of the mess at the gate coating me a missed connection to Denmark (not that it was necessary have Lufthansa put any effort in speeding up.my transfer like pick up at the gate, gate information before I left aircraft or even as I approached a desk I. Frankfurt as the conneecting flight was late too). On top of that mess I have not gotten my speciality meal and eintertaiment system was malfunctioning the entire flight. Crew could not be bothered with bringing over water and didn't exactly respond to call button."

Мінуси: "I selected my seats online before the flight. It seems my seat assignments were changed (many other customers complained of the same issue). I have siliver status on United and was told that there was no way to be considered for upgrade to different seat. I was told that the list was already full of higher priority customers. Yet at the same time the same employee announced those seats were available for purchase at $200 Euro for others. It seemed in both cases Lufthansa shuffled around passengers out of their selected seats for unknow reasons and also werent honoring frequent flier status programs for changing seats. Furthermore, the in seat entertainment did not work and it took quite a bit of effort including trying to move seats to get the flight attendants to reset the system (they said it would affect other customers who didnt have problems with their entertainment system). 8+hour flight is long flight to not have the system working. eventually the fixed it a couple of hours into the flight."

I just had come off 20hrs of travel. Phone on mute. No e mail. Now they say will deliver this evening - but no time slot so another wasted vacation day waiting for them to get their act together. Why can't they call/text me with a 30 minute window."

I usually try and avoid using Ryanair because of this. at 6' tall the leg room is only just possible, there is no neck support as the seat back does not cater for tall people and seating being non reclining means that it is impossible to shift the my weight during the flight, bearable for shorthaul, but at 5 hours plus it is a penance. Like I said, I'd fly with any other carrier to avoid this, circumstance meant it had to be ryanair."

Мінуси: "The time of the layover between a Ryanair flight that requires you to check baggage and then pick up from the carousel, go through customs, and an Aer Lingus flight that you then had to check into at the Aer Lingus desk (online check in was not an option) and go BACK through security IS NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE. This was a huge waste of time and money and I do not recommend using two airlines, especially not if it involves RyanAir and the Manchester airport. I have to cancel reservations that I will not be able to make the rest of the time I’m at this destination. Moving flights cost me €60 and missing my reservation at an escape room is an emotional cost that cannot be compensated. Very unsatisfied."

The space you get to sit in is ridiculous you can't even bend down in it. And the plane was delayed."

Мінуси: "They screwed us at every opportunity. I tried to check on online from my smart phone. I was able to acc SS my itinerary and it allowed me to do everything BUT check in. We had to wait to get to the airport, then they said we were too late (we were 90 minutes early). They raped us with 110 pound fee, which was more then we paid for the tickets. Then because we were “late” by their definition they wouldn’t let us take our carry on into the cabin. They forced us to check it. Then on the plane they wanted to charge for a diet drink. We are usually pretty laid back but by this time we were both pretty upset. Obviously."

It costs £80 to bring a suitcase for the hold, however if you don't pay for priority boarding your handluggage gets placed in the hold anyway despite there being more than enough space in overhead lockers. If I had known how much it would be to pay for the 'extras' which area really basic requirements, I would not have booked with Ryanair. Next time I'll be going with another company who actually provide a basic service"

They were still sold alcohol by the crew who did nothing to quieten them down. As usual the flight was late (around an hour by the time we actually got to the terminal)"

Мінуси: "We purchased priority tickets and were last on the plane. There was no organization at all. Everyone rushed the plane because we were hoarded onto a bus and told to walk to the plane. I'm small so all of the rude people rushed the plane and I had to wait in the back or get trampled. Why did I pay extra for priority? Even at the gate. People just moved the barrier and sat in the priority section. No enforcement of rules at all. So everyone got priority treatment - or you could say no one got priority treatment, just some of us paid extra to be treated like cattle."

Charging is 120+ for checking in is an obsurb and unethical business practice geared toward taking advantage of travellers with limited options. We showed up 2+ hrs early and the checked baggage attendants shows up about an 1 after we got there. The checked bags process is a big mess. We barely made our flight and were charged 120+ for checking in at the desk. Checked bags at one counter, payed at a different counter, the attendants were late, dropped checked bags at a different counter, required to check a bag that we have travelled all over the world with, and then they curbside check other passengers bags of the same size."

They had already looked at it at check in. They pulled him out of line after he handed over his passport and then told him they were going to charge him for his carryon because it was too big. He place it in the measuring device and it fit so it was not too big. They ended up not charging him but the experience was very unpleasant."

But it took us 3 hours to be reticle ted because they use a subcontracted staff who was closed. We were told to get our baggage and recheck, after waiting 50 minutes were told that our bags made our original flight-even thought that is against FAA regulations. Went back to ticketing and the Sipervisor told us that our bags did not make the flight and to go back to get them. Another 45 minutes and we were again told that they made the first flight. Happily they actually were at our destination when we arrived. Never again. And we paid more in change fees Han the ticket cost"

The boarding was messy, the crew members were less than helpful when allocating bags on the plane, and, I know you shouldn't expect a fancy seat when traveling with this type of airline, but the seats with Ryanair were just a shame."
